Managing devices for users

In Platform, devices are often the end-points for your Callflows and can be managed on the user level by users themselves.  Devices may include VoIP phones, Soft Phones, or even Fax adapters.  Here’s how to add devices to a user:

First, select the user you’d like to add devices for and select the Add a new device for this user button:

Next, choose the type of device that it is: (i.e. VoIP Phone, Cell Phone, Smart Phone, Landline, Softphone, Mobile, Fax, or SIP URI)

As an example, this Awesome Customer has a VoIP phone that we’ll work to configure:

Note: to access SIP – select the Advanced tab.  In this area, the Username acts as SIP user ID and can be utilized in your Callflows in a number of unique ways that suit your business’s needs.

Save to apply your settings, and you’re all set!
