This guide is to help configure or re-configure a Simple Phone Box (Grandstream HT701, HT702, HT704, and HT502) for use with a SwitchBoard or Hosted Phone server.
- First, locate the phone adapters IP address by picking up the phone and dialing ***, then 0 2
- Enter the IP address as a URL in your web browser (the computer and adapter must be on the same network)
- Enter the admin password for the adapter (try admin, or contact customer support for yours)
- Click FXO 1 (or FXS) on the top navigation
Enter the following, and change only the settings mentioned: (Contact Customer Support for SIP details)
- Primary SIP: server (or company.spchosted.com for Hosted Phone)
- Username: Enter your SIP username (or extension/device)
- Password: Enter your SIP password (or extension/device password)
- Allow Outgoing Calls on Unregistered: Choose no
- Scroll down to Dial Plan, and enter this: { <=1[2-9]xx[2-9]xxxxxx | 011[2-9]x. | [34569]11 | *xx+ }
- At the bottom click update or apply, and then reboot device.
A “Device Not Registered” error means that your settings above are not correct or the device does not see the internet.
