Switching to Hosted Phone Overview

We’re excited help you switch to Simple Phone Company, and will be working with you and your team to ensure a smooth on-boarding to our services. This guide highlights some steps we’ve developed to ensure your ready and have smooth switch to our Hosted services.

 

Week 1

Order Service and Equipment

With your Account Manager, we’ll plan and setup your monthly service plan, and order any equipment to deliver pre-configured for your users. We will also prepare your porting documents, and gather any additional setup details for your service

To plan for your equipment configuration, we recommend organizing a user or area for each phone, and an overview of how you’d like your phones to ring. If you need help, we’ve created a simple PDF guide, which can be found in online in our Help Center.

Porting takes about two weeks once submitted, so we’ll update you once we know.

Week 2

Equipment Delivery and Training

With standard ground shipping, your new phones and equipment will arrive about a week after ordering. Each box will include a Personal Setup card that indicates the user or area that has been activated for.

Once your equipment has been plugged in, we’ll schedule a time to work with you to test and update any additional features or system configuration changes.

We also offer free training to use of our system, equipment, and group trainings can also be scheduled to ensure your team is ready ahead of porting.

Porting Completion

Following your ordering, we’ll submit a porting request to bring your numbers to our network. Once approved by your previous provider, we share the date and time we expect your numbers to port to us.
