Hot-desking allows a particular user or users to move from station to station and temporarily assume the phone at their new location as their own. Here’s how to enable Hot-desking:
First, make sure hot-desking is enabled in the Feature Codes section of your account. Once that’s enabled, you’ll need to assign a unique hot-desk ID to each user. Here’s how:
- From the VoIP Services tab, select Advanced, then Users.
- Next, choose the user you wish to enable hot-desking for (or create a new user), and select the Advanced tab.
- Now, check the Enable Hot Desking button, and assign an ID and PIN.
- Press Save and now it’s been enabled!
To Login, dial *11 (default) and enter the Hot Desk ID and PIN followed by a #
To Logout, dial *12 (default) and enter the Hot Desk ID and PIN followed by a #
